I added BD's S2 reverse light kit a couple weeks ago. I just decided I wanted the option to turn on the S2s using an upfitter rather than just when in reverse. To do this I added their 55" splitter at the S2. From here, I ran their 12' harness extension and upfitter harness through the frame rail to the upfitter (took a bit of work, but the cables can be routed all the from the rear to front in the rail). The splitter has two males and one female, but I needed one male and two females. I'm close to BD, so stopped by Friday, met Bailey, and they modified the splitter right away. Now upfitter #6 turns on the S2 and tail light.

Bailey was a great help. Thanks for answering my questions through the process.

Looks great!

Can you turn the reverse lights into amber reverse lights or chase lights?

Baja Designs sells replacement lenses in amber, etc.

As for the wiring, I would like to go the same direction. Can we get a specific list of the wiring components necessary to order?

I’m looking at front facing options and it would be great if we could use a dimmer, something similar to the Skene Motorcycle specific component so we can dim lights for use as on-road fog lights, then go high power off-road.

Will need to see what they look like bumper mounted on a new raptor (this could look great - similar to original Shelby mustang grill lights), but the new LP9 has a dimmer built in - will there be a Raptor specific wiring option to tie it into our uplifter switches?

Here is what customers have purchased and wire in on their own:

QTY: 1 - Upfitter Wire Harness (640093)
QTY: 1 - 12' Extension (613605)
QTY: 1 - Squadron/S2 55" Splitter (613606)

NOTE: This install is 100% Custom and Baja Designs offers NO tech support or installation support for this application. The above items are what customers have ordered and installed on their own or at a shop.

For the LP9 we don't have a Raptor Specific Wiring Harness. These lights have a very high power draw and we suggest utilizing the below wiring harness:

Baja Designs has an amber lens that can be put on the light. I haven't seen one in use to comment on it. As long as the upfitter is on, the S2 stays on. However, the Raptor's white reverse light also stays on.

I just ordered two amber LP9s with that wiring harness to mount onto an SVC Offroad bumper. I will probably mount them on top of the bumper just in front of the grille, almost like the Mustang fogs. I'm sure someone will beat me to posting pictures, but they'll go on in December and I'll throw some pictures up.

I'm sure the two LP9s will look great on the Raptor. Can't wait to see the setup!
