I did nothing special really. I asked lol.
Honestly I asked earlier in the process and was told they’d protect the price as much as possible. Sometimes you just get a good feeling about a salesperson so I took her word for it and didn’t press the issue. Some will say it was a bit naive of me but I’ve dealt with enough car salespeople in my life to stay away from the slimy ones. Every dealership has them. For the most part, I’m pretty good at picking them out lol.
Upon delivery to the dealership there was no more mention of it and the number she was using to work out the deal was the original MSRP. Hell, she even got the used car manager to come up a bit on my trade too! I was a happy camper!
