Is anyone interested in running up to Assteague before it gets too cold for a beach day and maybe some fishing?

This is what I've found thus far...

" A shovel, jack, a board to support the jack in the sand (12" sq. minimum, 3/4" plywood or 1&1/2" hardwood), and a tow rope or chain (substantial capacity, 10' minimum length) are also required. Fines are charged for each piece of missing required equipment. "

Apparently you have to buy a season pass, no daily pass, but I will call them

    Just off the phone now...

There is a paid pass to enter the park; Active duty Mil are free as well as disabled vets are free - sign a affidavit. THEN, you have to pay another $90 to run on the OSV beach portion, no discount for anyone on that pass.

I hate this fucking state but yup.. fees, but its a decent amount of time out there and you can make a nice day of it.

OBX; $50 10 day pass. Just sayin’

but yeah, at least they put it all down for you so there’s no ambiguity. A word of caution - don’t rely on the air station to actually have air if you want to air up ;-)

Yes but it’s five hours LOL. I’m sure my lady would not mind coming back down there, but I wanted to go and try out Assateague Island. But we can make a collective decision
