The AFE intake is definitely one of the most popular for the new Raptors. We've sold a ton of AFE intakes to include the Magnum Stage 2 kits. No reports of throwing codes or any other issues for that matter.

We've got these in stock! Let us know if we can get you hooked up with one.

after installation do you need a tune to get any benefits!

Most intakes will only yield a few HP by themselves. If you're looking to take full advantage of performance modifications like an intake, downpipes, intercooler, etc, then a tune will definitely be needed.

We actually created a performance package. Called the ORA550 Performance Package, it combines a Cobb Intercooler, Cobb Intake, Ford Performance spark plugs and a custom tune. The combination of these hard parts and a tune make for significant increase in HP/TQ and all within very safe parameters for the Raptor to ensure longevity of all engine/internals.

Would a borla atak exhaust help those gains much? I do like the sound much better.

Our dyno results we did in conjunction with Gearhead tuning yielded best results with the group of parts we built the ORA550 performance package around.

Do you by chance have the dyno graphs you could PM for the ORA550 package? Curious about gains lower in the rpm range vs high up. I am rarely above 3.5/4k and tow our 5.5k boat often so torque over HP is important for me.

AFE didnt show dyno graphs on their site for the "Super Raptor" intake either. Their 40hp/60ftlb claims seem crazy for just an intake with no other mods.
