Am I being messed with>

This is my first post. I want to share something a dealer told me in an email. I believe he was messing with me because I unsubscribed from his dealer emails after I bought a GT500 from another dealer.
Not an April fools bit.
Sequence of events is such;
He sent me an email saying "still looking?"
I replied "put me on your Raptor R list please-but no other correspondence."
His response was "FORD announced to dealerships last week that the RAPTOR R is not going to be built. GOD BLESS and stay safe and will discontinue correspondence. MARK HARRIS"

I have put his name in this post so he can get credit if it is true and reap havoc if it is not

I am hoping against all hope to find out that the dealer was messing with me and that in fact the Raptor R is going ahead.

I’ve never heard directly from Ford that it’s getting built, just a bunch of “I know somebody that works at Ford”
