Now that I’ve had my BBK installed for a while and have 400 miles of use, I thought I’d give some highlights feedback. As a reference point, I have a 2020 Raptor, so just the front brakes are actual Alcon Calipers, the rear are OEM Calipers with Alcon Rotors and Brake pads. I changed all six brake lines to Braided Stainless Steel and using Amsoil Brake Fluid

1. This is an absolute must MOD for our trucks, if nothing else, just from a safety standpoint. The stopping power over OEM is amazing.

2. Extremely effortless pedal feel, very little pressure needs to be applied when compared to OEM set up and immediate response from braking. The lighter braking and reduced unsprung mass is obvious.

3. Zero brake fade, even when I completed the initial hard brake in, running 60-5 mph, 20 times in a row.

4. Overall pleasure of driving around town in stop and go traffic with the undemanding braking.

5. Absolutely zero Squeaking noise, which was a huge concern of mine. These are as quit as OEM without the “Soft” and “Mushy” feel.

My only negative comment, is, significant amount of brake dust. See before and after pictures below. The after pictures were taken after just one 50 mile trip!

I highly recommend this MOD, give Nick with Apollo Optics a try, he really helped navigate through the process to determine which BBK on the market would best suited my needs.

They really look great! I appreciate the written review. I have a full set for my gen 1 in my garage waiting to go in. These behemoths need brakes! Such an overlooked mod. I like how you blacked out the alcon name. I need a side pic from a little farther away! Do you find you can drive a little more spirited now?

Here is the best side picture I have. Hope this helps.

Nice setup. I heard the hoses make a nice difference too. Those fully coated rotors with directional vanes look nice. I’d ask about pricing, but I have an idea lol. Keep us posted.

Looks really nice!
I see you have them on stock wheels. Did you have to modify the suspension at all to get them to fit? Add/replace any suspension components?
Thanks for posting the pics!

Hi, no, zero modifications other than the 0.7 mm spacers which were included in the kit. Apparently, some of the Raptors require Tie End Rods, mine did not. Plenty of clearance in the inner wheel as well as the Brake Calipers.

Those look really nice, I've had great dealings with Nick also. Knock on wood, so far my '20 brakes have been very good, IMO. I only have 8600 miles on them, but so far, so good. Definitely not soft or mushy.
If you drove any Raptor with OEM brakes and compared it to one with my BBK set up, you would most likely recognize the “soft and mushy” comment I’m referring to…
