Looking for pics of a 17 x 9 -6 offset anyone have that set-up? Curious about the extra stick out compared to stock?
Not exactly what you're looking for but these are 17x8.5 +6mm offset with stock tires. This was my old set up, I sold them.

Wheels look great on there!

Thank you both for the support, gents!

Thanks Nick@Apollo optics! Finally got these mounted and the Venomrex 602’s are an amazing quality light wheel that gave me exactly the stance and look I was going for! Packaging was top notch to prevent damage in transit and they arrived quickly!

an oem wheel is a + 34mm so a negative -6 is 40mm from stock.

40mm is the same as 1.574803 inches ... so a -6mm off-set wheel is 1.574803 inches pushed out when compared to oem.

Personally I would not go further than 0mm offset.

I’m assuming the -6 offset will project another 1” farther? I’m really hoping they don’t go out too far!

Does wheel width effect the offset?

Great question! It does NOT affect offset of the wheel itself BUT I assume you are asking because your wheel is wider than the oem 8.5"? Let's say your wheel is 9" then you have a wheel that is .5 inches wider than OEM and in this case you would divide .5" by 2 so the wheel would be .25 inches wider on either side. I hope this makes sense.

SO If your wheel is 9" wide with -6 offset, then the outer edge of your wheel would be 1.57" + .25" = 1.82.

"If the offset of the wheel is not correct for the vehicle, the handling can also be adversely affected. When the width of the wheel changes, the offset also changes numerically. If the offset were to stay the same while you added width, the additional width would be split evenly between the inside and outside."

Awesome thanks for the info. Yes My wheels are 17 x 9 -6 offset. I’m hoping that the negative offset won’t cause me any issues? I run off-road a lot but I don’t jump and never run it too hard as all of my driving off-road is for work.
