Aftermarket larger inverter?

Starting to look into a larger inverter setup. The stock 400w inverter won't handle much outside of a battery charger, so I wouldn't mind installing a larger one with some more 110v outlets. Thinking of maybe mounting it under the passenger seat or possibly in the engine bay and then running the wiring into the cab and mounting an outlet panel somewhere. Wondering if anyone has done something like this. Thanks!

definitely not in the engine bay. those things are not waterproof. you will also need bigger wiring as well

Yea, I forgot they aren't weatherproof. Wiring isn't an issue, I'll have to run stuff for it anyways.
