Pure bling, nothing more. As long as you know that going in, then nor problem. However, make sure you're not doing harm with blingy mods. The housing doesn't flex, it's the bearing caps that take the loads. If you want a "cooler-running" diff, then add a cooler with pump and lines. I have an aftermarket diff cover for mine (not AFE) as well, but don't think that it actually "improves" anything other than the seller's wallet.

The diff cover holds 2 quarts of gear oil over stock and the aluminum cover cools faster than the OEM steel. There is no true way of setting up a cooler and pump without risk running too much or too little fluid in the diff.
