Advice and opinions on security alarm systems

I'm debating getting an alarm security system any advice or opinions on alarm security system?

we are a viper dealer. i have the 5904 with gps smartstart in my truck. it has 1mile range on the remote (best case scenario) and smartphone notification if my vehicle is tampered with. the new model is the 5906, but the only difference is the remote color

I got the Ford one. Overpaid for it but oh well. Viper dealer in my town sucks.

I'm thinking about pulling the trigger on the ADD Race series R with 10 D2's up front. I don't have a garage to park my truck in at night and I'm reluctant to buy this setup unless I get an alarm. Would a typical viper alarm detect someone messing with lights on your front bumper? I'd love to get an alert on my phone if it went off so I could come out with gun in hand. Locknuts would be used to mount them.
