Hey all, been a member for a while but mostly sitting on the sidelines. I want to say that I have always really appreciated all the advice and knowledge on the forum. Definitely has helped me out in the past so thank you to all who contribute. I bought my Gen 1 2014 6.2 and have loved it ever since. It has 70k miles (115k km) and has been zero issues other than the fuse which threw me for a loop as I was on vacation and did not think to check on this forum until I had dropped $1k in “other“ solutions. Once we changed the fuse, when I got back home, stalling disappeared and all has been great. I struggled putting more mileage on the truck even though I only drive 6000 miles (10k km) per year so I decided to get a Gen 2 last month. It is a 2019 with only 20k miles (30k kms) and is loaded up. I paid a premium for sure, but it is what it is. I listed my Gen 1 for $5k under what I paid for it new and instantly had many guys interested and willing to pay. Most said they had Gen 1’s before and have regretted selling ever since and wanted another Gen 1 for their stable to last until they were gonna be buried in it. LOL! I got to thinking that I also dont want to part with my original Raptor. I love my Gen 1 and will happily be the old guy in the old truck like in the movies. So I have decided to keep it. I dont finance so both are paid for, and better than the stock market currently, as I have taken a bath in recent months. So I guess it is a “sound investment”?? Anyways, I have had a deposit on a “supercharged v8 Raptor” for over 4 years at a local dealership who thought I was nuts 4 years ago when I wanted to give them a deposit for a “rumorued” truck. Our paperwork shows they will honor MSRP but when push comes to shove who knows…. At least now the truck is supposedly real as a Raptor R ( I know, who the hell knows if it will actually be produced and if it will be street legal and if I will get one - no one knows for sure) but the dealer thought I was insane and now here we are….. who looks like the smart one now!! Haha….. Here are some pics of my 2 trucks. I gotta say, I have always gotten many waves, finger points, thumbs up and parking lot conversations about my Gen 1. Kids point and stare, adults point and stare…. But dissapointingly, I have yet to have one comment or finger point for my Gen 2…. Is this normal? Seems like just another truck to most people, and not as special, although to me the tech is great. Maybe its cause my Gen 1 with an exhaust cut out sounds like the demons from hell???? Will never part with my Black Beauty…. Cheers.

Great trucks. And they hold their value so well it’s a good piece of mind, kinda like Wranglers. They just hold their damn value so well. I tell my wife it’s like driving your bank account, especially if you don’t Mike them out. But hey, buy them to drive them too, we all end up in the ground at some point.
