Used it once on my current 2015 F150, just to test it out. It works, but takes more time and button pushes than skills! Sometimes you just need to learn the old-fashioned way. If you need it…you probably should not be driving the vehicle.Has anyone tried using the active park assist function to parallel park or back into a spot?
I don't need it, I agree, I was just curious, seems like a gimmick, I wanted to try it out and couldn't figure it out, maybe I'm just not that tech savvy.Used it once on my current 2015 F150, just to test it out. You don't even accelerate or brake. You actually put the truck in neutral.looks like you have to scan for the spot then shift the transmission and essentially just accelerate and brake and it should do all the steering. Wonder if it will beep at you if the space is too small "RAPTOR A S S TOO FAT, TURN AROUND"
You're right, just watched a youtube. You have to hold the button down after it tells you to stop and it takes over from there. So far i've watched it make 2-3 point turns into a perpendicular spot, seems like waste. Need to get that wide birth to back up lolYou don't even accelerate or brake. Want to try it out, haven't had time.
Yeah, it is a neat feature and I am excited to try it. I am from NY and pride myself on my amazing parallel parking skills, but it will be fun to see if the truck can do better, even if it takes three times as long. You're right, just watched a youtube. Edit: Also most of these demo videos online are from sales guys and they obviously don't know how to park a truck. Worthless
That’s what I was finding, seems like a software issue maybe, it is supposed to be part of the co-Pilot that we haveWell, I was trying to find this feature but I'm quite certain it's not on the truck. The videos I referenced utilized a button I do not have in the 801A. Curious to hear if anyone else finds it.
EDIT: The |P| button on the dash merely gives the option to find the closest parking lot. Perhaps I'm doing something wrong.
