A Slight Visual Tweak on Stock Wheels

I have never been a huge fan of the factory forged wheels from an appearance perspective but thought a brighter beauty ring would add more edge definition. So I had the rings painted by my favorite wheel shop (Panther Precision Machine). They used a somewhat brighter version of Anthracite.

Here is the result:













An easy do it yourself project if you have the space for spray painting. I didn't.

Just one coat of polish. No ceramic.

How exactly would you apply "one coat if polish"? As an amateur detailer, this statement makes no sense.
Polish much like compound is an abrasive used to level the clearcoat. It's how you improve the clarity of the paint. It does not leave anything behind on the surface, therefore, there can not be "coats" or layers.
Waxes and sealants add protection and become a sacrificial layer to protect the paint. They can be applied in "coats" as they leave behind a bonded layer.

Did you actually polish the truck? If so, what products did you use?
Did you just wax it? If so, what products did you use?
Did you do both?
Did you just take it to a detailer and have it done?

The smoother the paint the better the shine. Also, I'll assume that you mean one pass not "one coat", as polish and compound do not leave any product behind. If you haven't applied and wax or sealant after the polish, I'd highly recommend it as unprotected paint won't stay nice for long.

Truck (and the vette hiding in the garage) look great, contrasting ring really makes the tires pop IMO.

Got a kick out of the vanity plates too. Nice stable.

Actually, SRP is an AIO with light abrasives, heavy fillers and a sealant. No need for another LSP unless you want to increase longevity. </schooling the pedant>

Like the look a lot! Really like the bead lock rings - always thought they'd look great on the truck but didn't want to actual mount the tires beadlock style for the street.

I don't think you have to, just mount the true beadlock rings on the outside of the wheel like the fake ones are.

Jacob, I'm new to Raptors, how do the bead lock rings work? Do they simply bolt with the wheel once the tire is installed? Would it be a simple matter of unbolting the rings while the wheels/tires are on the truck, painting/coating them, then reinstalling? Thanks, they looks great...
