LP6 would work although I'd recommend the LP4 over the LP6. The LP4 just fit a bit better. The XL80 are the most popular and we offer those with a free swap-out to Spot lenses, which are ideal I feel. However Driving/Combo are the most popular XL80s for pillar mounts.

We have plenty of XL80 in stock and LOTS of LP4 in stock in stock as well.

Here is a customer of ours running LP6 on his Pillars:

XL80 and LP4 are top notch for the Pillars. Let me know if you need help picking them, we keep them both in stock here at 4x4TruckLEDs.com

+2 for the LP6’s. Mounted on Alternative off-road hood mounts. I used BD upfitter specific wiring harness. Super easy install. Only wired for hi mode though. Also wired the backlighting to a Aux switch. No noticeable wind noise and minimal hood glare.

Do they move around on those mounts “wiggle back and fourth” when driving? Wish someone would make mounts for six inch up there.

I've never had an issue with them. They are rock solid. You can fit LP9s on an Alternative Off-road mount btw... I have a customer who did just that. Then went to LP6 and then to LP4 (when the LP4 came out). LP9 were a big big for him. LP6 were nice and he liked the LP6 until, the LP4 came out as I said.

But you'll be good with Alternative Offroad mounts and any light from an S1 up to an LP9

I saw those I just wish the top plate where the light mounts to was wider, six inch lights have a pretty wide base plate and to find a mount that has two mounting holes for each light would be great just not sure if it exist.

Just installed the LP4s yesterday on the hood mounts (thanks to Adam @4x4TruckLEDs.com). Big light, but overall fits well to the truck. The size from inside the cab was surprising large, but took all of 1 trip to love how imposing it looks.

This angle shows amber glare on the hood, but hadn’t noticed it at all until this picture. No glare from the backlight from inside the cab.

For the main lights, I just them turned them out a bit to minimize hood glare and the visibility of the passenger-side side light. No issues from early tests.

What mounts did you used? I got SDHQ mounts but they don’t fit LP4. One light has to be offsite than the other

I’ve got some lights my local accessory shop sells. They are similar to Baja Designs. Probably not as much output, but at $100 per light thought I’d give them a shot. They are 5” Round Lights that put out 5,000 Lumens.
