Alternative Offroad and SDHQ make the best mounts.

SDHQ Sits up by the cowel/closer to your window. These are great for smaller lights like Baja Designs Squadrons or S2. You can mount larger lights like the XL Series as well here but your antenna might get in the way. You have to remove the cowel and pop the windshield wipers off to get these installed.

The Alternative Offroad sit further down the hood and attach TO the actual hood itself. You just loosen 2 bolts under the hood (which support the hood) and slide it in. Do this ONE bolt at a time, not both (otherwise the hood will slide and be out of alignment). These will accomate larger lights as they sit futher up so there is no interference with the antenna.

We also have lights available and harnesses, depending on what lights you go with.

Depending on what lights you select, we'll have different upfitter connection kits available.

If you wanted to go with the XL80, some of the most popular pillar lights we sell, we have a pre-configured kit here: http://www.4x4truckleds.com/baja-designs-ford-raptor-2017-xl80-a-pillar-lighting-kit/

Baja Designs also makes a pillar mount as well, which is available in their Squadron Spot kit

The Baja Designs mounts are similar to the SDHQ in where they mount up.
Damn why am I just now learning about these Alternative Offroad mounts!? I will say that SDHQ are a royal pain in the ass to install but it's because they are very well built. The only thing I don't like about them is that they are so tight to the fender panel that you want to put some type of spacer in between. I slipped a piece of rubber in each one to make sure it doesn't ruin any finish.

I've run both SDHQ and AO. I like both.

I like the sleek profile of the SDHQ, but don't like installing them.
I like how easy the AO ones are, but they stick out a fit further (which is good for larger lights).

So both are awesome in my opinion. We always tell folks go with the AO if you want an easier installation and want to run larger lights. Go with the SDHQ if you want a sleeker low profile look.

We stock both (well SDHQ are on back order now, we sold out and we've been waiting about 3 weeks for a new shipment to come in... and the AO's are due in, well maybe today actually)

I'd recommend you order them now to secure your place in line. If you wait till they are about to come back in stock, they may be sold out. We tell folks the same with the GJ Motorsports kits. If you wait for them to come back in stock, chances are they are already sold to someone else.

AO mounts are due in on Monday.
SDHQ... we're still waiting for an ETA. We've had our supply order in for weeks now. We were told 2 weeks ago it'll be another "3-4 weeks"

Went with the Rigid mounts and they were simple to install. Didn't have to remove the wipers.IMG_3003.jpg

Anybody use a ZRoadZ set. Have a set they attached to the hood. Just have not mounted them yet. They are heavy duty, got a set of side shooter light pods. Had a set of dual side(lights both sides) shooters but decided that the lights might blind me. I may use the dual ones on my cab protector with a 30" curved bar.

My favorite local accessory shop installed the lights on my A Pillars using the ZROADZ and the mounts seem super sturdy!

ok guys... i ended up with the rigid mounts. trying to decide on the actual pods now BUT... since i have the rigid light bar with amber backlighting on my ADD pro bumper, I'd like to have my pillar lights matching. So far it seems Rigid Radiance spot lights are the only ones with the amber backlighting, unless you fine gents know of any other ones?

Radiance lights are pointless up at the pillars. They are not designed as spot lights and more of flood style lights. You'll also get glare off your hood using them.

You COULD go with the Rigid 360-Series if you want to stick with the Rigid brand and get amber back lighting:

4" 360 Series in Spot: http://www.4x4truckleds.com/rigid-industries-360-series-4-pair-spot-amber-backlight/
6" 360 Series in Spot: http://www.4x4truckleds.com/rigid-industries-360-series-6-pair-spot-amber-backlight/

If you wanted to keep amber back-lighting, that is the best option right there.

Otherwise the Baja Designs XL80s with a Spot Lens are CHOICE to put right there. Crazy amounts of light thrown down range. We offer them with free upgrades to Spot Patterns upon request (you'll order the Driving/Combo but in your comments request a free lense swap out): http://www.4x4truckleds.com/baja-designs-xl80-pair-driving-combo/

I just installed and took off the Rigid 360 6” on the pillars. The lights are too heavy and would wobble horribly just driving on the freeway. With the rigid mounts you will not be able to use your factory antennae- I purchased a cravenspeed antennae plug that worked. The 6” inch is very heavy, just over 7 pounds which is why I figured they wobbled so much. Just my recent experience. I am looking at the BD XL80s.
