Has anyone ever saw one of these door emblems with the hollow "L" filled in with a 3-D carbon fiber insert? I have one on my 1st gen for the outlined F-150 tailgate emblem and would like to make the door emblems match.

Original 6.2 trucks didn't come with the badging. Mine doesn't have them either. Def makes people think its the 5.4, till I stomp on it.
I had four different F-150s with that motor, oh wait, my 1997 F-150 had the 4.6 (rolleyes), was never a big fan of the modulars, the power was meh and the efficiency was worse than that. Our 2010 Platinum (5.4) got 11-12 MPG, that's about what the 6.2 gets right?

Depends. When I had a daily commute of about 55 miles and all but 3 on the highway I would regularly hit the high 14s/low 15s. Now that I have about 8 miles round trip I'm much closer to 12 to 13 range.

You must have a heavy foot, that's pretty ****** mileage considering you live in Texas. We have actual hills and winters around here. Over 145K miles, I averaged 13.5 MPG with a 2000 5.4L 2V in a F150 4x4. My brother averaged 16 MPG with a 3V 5.4L in a 2007 Expedition 4x4 over nearly 175K miles.

My 6.2L has also been averaging 13.5 MPG in about 20K of driving so far. In comparison to my old truck, the Raptor is heavier, taller, has bigger tires and more power, but gets the same mileage. I get mid 11s in the city, mid 15s on the highway.

The previous owner took them off my truck, but he gave me the badges when he sold me the truck. He said he just preferred the more slick look without them. It does look clean, so I never bothered putting them back on. It's good to still have them though.
