Hey guys first post, but I have been a lurker for a good amount of time. I found this SCAB back home on the East Coast. I currently live in Las Vegas and with its desert terrain, used raptor prices are still demanding a premium. While visiting family I came across this used 2014 Terrain colored raptor with about 34,000 miles on it. I haven't test drove it yet since I'll need to set up an appointment, but from the pictures, it looks pretty clean. The dealer is asking for near $44,000, but I think I can talk him down a bit since its been sitting on the lot for a few months. Pending the car fax report which I'll run later, do you think this is a good deal? Also how much do you think I'll be able to talk him down to? The raptor has a few simple mods like CAI, Exhaust, bed lining, cover, and lock box.

Is it loaded? If so, 40k should work, just what I would try for, so offer even a bit less to start.

It has the 801A package, graphics package, and some other things. MBRP exhaust and an intake. I was thinking of offering him $5000 below his asking price and then work from there...

Sweet color. Any rust.?. Low milage for 44k. Hard to beat that price on the west coast.

Exactly! Raptors for sale here are high 40K to mid 50K on the West Coast. Hopefully this isn't one of those too good to be true deals. I'll take a look at it soon, test drive it, have another third party mechanic check it out. Hopefully the dealer and I can come to a deal and I can have it shipped or drive it to Vegas. :)

In june I found my 2013 801a scab for $33k with 56k miles and its beautifully clean, someone took care of it. From what I am reading from others i found a heck of a deal.

I think if you snag that truck for $40k you should feel good, assuming its super clean. Its a 2014, low miles, and full options.

    Btw, SCAB ftw :)

So as far as negotiating goes, dealer said his bottom dollar is 43000, which is 1000 below asking price. It is a smaller mom and pop owned dealership and the vehicle is on co-signment. I've placed a link to the ad for better pictures of the vehicle. The website says that it is sold, but previous buyer fell out so I guess they haven't updated it yet. Thoughts? Still a good deal? Should I jump on it?

Definitely a nice truck. $43k is not bad. You can make a 'take it or leave it' offer and see what they say. But if the truck is everything you want, why not?

    Personally,
Think it's too high. But if it's the one ya want go for it!

What in your opinion is a good price you'd offer for it? I know when I set out to to shop for a raptor I had a number in my head of 35k to 40k. I live in Southern Nevada and with its wide open desert terrain, these vehicles are still demanding a premium. I've shopped for vehicles in my price range and they are all 60-100+ miles. I know these vehicles are reliable enough to last for many more miles so that shouldn't be a problem. I'm thinking of offering him a flat 40k take it or leave it offer. Do you believe that to be acceptable? The dealer did say that he received some good offers from other big name dealers...but if that were so, the vehicle would have sold....BTW thanks for your guy's comments they've been helpful.

Thanks! I may take your advice and offer him a flat 40k take it or leave it offer. I am flying back home today so we'll see if he bites... :)
