I'm not sure. Maybe spraying too thick and cracking when it dries. I'd have to find the thread again

We stopped using night shades a while back because it fades over time and sucks to apply. We now use 2 light coats of gloss black paint and 2 coats of clear. The end product is much nicer and lasts much longer. You still get the same amount of light shining through the paint as would the nightshades, which is not very much light anyways.


If you rely on your cargo light this is not a mod you will want to do. This is more about getting rid of the white color that stands out like a soar thumb. We still do not paint the red led's so they are at full brightness.

I'm fine with $200. I bought night shades to do it and decided to have a test run on a cheaper part so I attempted the mirror reflectors..****** them all up, threw them away and bought the delete kit. Lesson learned.
