Thieves will be equipped with the correct safety torx bit to remove these. Most doorbell cameras these days are coming with them, everyone and their grandmas have the right bits.
This may be true, but a very small investment to protect a much larger one. I had a $100 Mobilistics Starter Relay Interrupt on my 2022 TRX that prevented it from being stolen. They did bust my rear sliding back glass and ruined my seat cover. I traded it off for my 24 Raptor R in hopes that it wouldn't be as easily stolen.

I’m so confused so 92,000 worth of taillights from 34 ford trucks…puts each taillight pair at around $2,700. I mean this sucks to see happen but ain’t no way even raptors taillights are $2700 a pair!!

Oh yes, when my 19 front end was crushed, Each LED headlight was over 1600 bucks--so Im sure the taillights are about the same

This is a good idea , but if they have a theft deterrent bit set , it would be easy to find right bit and remove bolts . At work we use the Penta bits , 5 sided tool bits , none of the theft deterrent bit kits have this one . It is used on machines to secure safety switches , that cannot be removed by just anyone.

You can fill the hex with JB weld or grind it flat. If you ever really need to remove them you can dig out the epoxy or slot with a dremel and get them out with a flat blade driver. Crazy that it has come to this. Also, the bolts for the lamps are a special into-plastic thread. But a standard thread if big enough will work (from a new thread in the plastic). I'm guessing that the tailgate bolts are normal thread and will focus on those in my case.
