This has probably already been discussed...

It's time for tires. Anyone upsize to 35s on stock wheels and suspension? Why did Ford go with specialized 315s????

Cheers

A BFG K02 315/70/17 is (34.3”) tall
A BFG KM3 35/12.50/17 is (34.5”) tall
A Nitto Ridge Grappler 35/12.50/17 is (34.7”) tall

so i don’t think going to a “35” should be a problem. It’s just metric Vs American.

Tire size comparison.

His point is despite it saying 35" or whatever on the side of the tire, it's usually not a full 35". So essentially equivalent sizes. I doubt you'll notice anything between 315s and 35s.

It has been discussed. The reason is that the stock tires are load range C. They are more pliable for off road rock crawling and smoother riding on the street. The tire was developed for the Raptor. Going to a higher load range will slightly effect the ride and not accomplish anything.

35’s fit the truck fine even in the stock configuration. The problem arises when trying to go up to 37’s so if you want to switch from the stock 315/70/17 to a true 35/12.5/17 your good.
