“ The Revenge of the Raptor”

With the dust still settling down form the first run, we have made a few changes to our program for future runs. First, everyone on the run is required to have a VHF Radio tuned to our frequency. We tried to use CB radios but they had about 2 car lengths of reception. Secondly, GPS units are a must. You need to have one with the course downloaded on to it. We will provide the course and we'll get you a deal on the GPS and Radio. These two items will make your adventure much more enjoyable and you can use them for you own personal trips as well. Also, Run 2 of the Monster Energy Outlaw Raptor Run "Revenge of the Raptor" is*July 23rd - 24th (we have only have a few spots left open for this run so please email us your registration info if you’re interested. This will be a 2 day event with an overnight stay at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino. The run there will be about 125 miles with a course skill level of about a 4 out of 10. We have also added a skills training camp which will consist of a turning control class, high speed slalom course, advanced braking on the dirt, traction control on/off direction and much more! The optional run back on Sunday will be about 150 miles long with a more advanced skill level of about a 7 out of 10. This will consist of high speed driving and off road experience is a must. Again, we will be staying at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino, so rooms will need to be pre-booked with our group rate. I will send out a link to all the runners with the information on the room rates. The awards dinner and the vendor giveaways will be held on Saturday night. I am working on booking a new restaurant that is not so loud so we can all share stories of the day and enjoy the awards. Departure time for the run home will be around 12 pm Sunday. If you choose not to do the run home you may take the freeway home. My goal on the trip is to give everyone the best experience possible. Day 1 drivers will be getting their feet wet and learning a thing or two about how the Raptor behaves off road. This will be more directed at the level 5 and below driver who is still getting the feel for offroading. Day 2 will be flat out with speeds reaching *110mph + with a ton of “g-outs” and “kickers”. This will be meant for those who want to challenge themselves to what is similar to off road race conditions. Everybody is welcome to give day 2 a shoot after running on day 1. Both of the Outlaw Raptors will be on the trail, one will lead and one will sweep the rear. The Outlaw staff will be there to help out in any way we can. The mechanics will fix what they can if something should happen to any of the raptors. The International MXT "Godzilla" will be traveling along the main highway with a trailer attached. Should something happen, The MXT will tow you out to the main road where road side assistance can grab you. I also want to see who has an interest in doing a Mexico trip from Ensenada to Cabo San Lucas. Email me if you have an interest in this one.

Yep. Call the shop up, talk to Sean about it. Ship or drive your truck there in time for them to get it installed.

GPS for raptor.

Here is the link to Lowrance GPS Elite 5m. It's the best one around and a good price. It can be mounted right on top of the dash and wired in about 2 hr. I will down load the course on to the unit as well. :peace:

A new GPS - simple, affordable, similar to the Globalmap software with easy to use menu's and almost identical software. Easy-to-use menus with Advanced Mode to expand features selection. i

Is there a special dash mount for this and,if so, can the unit be easily removed?
Is it well supported with software for highways also?
