These numbers are quite impressive for the standard F150 with PowerBoost: 430 HP and 570 TQ. That's essentially the same amount of power as the HO EcoBoost motor on the Gen 2 Raptor. The MPG average for the PowerBoost is 24 MPG. On a 36 gallon tank, that would yield over 800 miles of fuel per tank. I am excited to see what Ford does for the Gen 3 Raptor.

But but but what about muh v8 exhaust?

Ford is running a sound synthesizer through the speakers and you’ll be able to pick from the following exhaust notes:

F-150 Lightning 5.4 Supercharged V8
Ford Mustang Cobra R 5.8L V8
Fox Body LX 5.0
‘96 Cobra 4.6 32V V8
Terminator ‘03 Cobra 4.6 Supercharged
GT500 5.2 Predator (this will be a $300 up charge)

aftermarket will go ahead and do a few extras too:
Ferrari V8
Ferrari v12
LS POWERZ!!
Audi V10

Very impressed with the advertised numbers, but I would really like to see 30 mpg in a pick up truck, can't see that being too hard to achieve. Can't they offer a mode for fuel economy on the highway, like they do for snow, mud, sand, etc.

The GM, Ford, and RAM light duty diesels all offer 30 MPG highway. That is achieved through axle ratio selection, active grille shutters, chin spoilers, air deflectors, tires. With the ride height, 4.10 gearing, and tire size of a Raptor, it’s not feasible to achieve that kind of fuel economy.
