There have been questions circulating as to whether the latest software updates to the 3.5 HO have any effect on performance. Well, this latest article on the Navigator reinforces that the power output is as strong as ever. The Navigator is over 6,000lbs and still posted the following performance stats:

0-60: 5.2
1/4 Mile: 13.8 @ 100

And still averaged 17MPG during testing. Very impressive.

That would be cool, especially since GM is offering their I6 Diesel on their full size SUVs. The 3.0L diesel from the F-150 is quiet and refined enough for Expedition/Navigator duty.
