Good to know. I however do not see the need for stiffer springs, if all you need to do to get a good level is install a collar spacer which does not require disassembly of the strut, ball joints, etc.
A collar is a 1 hour install vs a 4 hour install, for a way cushier ride as well.
That and you want to be careful lifting these trucks outside the “ride zone” in the Fox shocks, or they won’t work as intended as the truck will almost always be outside of its ride zone.

I if one wanted to retain factory spring rate but pick up a little lift, seems like gen 2 is the play.

no, the gen2 springs were horrible on my gen3. They lift the front of the truck too high. My truck felt like it had very little down travel. Removed them and installed the Fox factory race series coilovers. Now the truck rides like stock again.

If you don’t mind me asking, what is your bottom of fender to ground height with the fox race series coilovers?

Looks pretty badass. How is the ride? Have you had a chance to top out the front suspension (Jump it) to see if the suspension tops out or subtly decompresses?
I have heard these Gen3 trucks have a bit more travel, I am not sure it if is UP travel, DOWN travel, or both. If it is up travel, hopefully it doesnt make for accelerated wear on the coilover (If you send it often enough to bottom out the suspension).
