I have a basic dash cam from Roav. It records in 2K with a 128 GB SD card. Each minute is a about 100 MB. So each day could use up 2.5 GB. After a week, it would start to re-write over older videos if it recorded 24/7.

I hardwired it directly to a constant 12 volt source. After a few months, the battery swelled up due to heat. Roav ended up replacing it under warranty, but I re-wired it to a switched 12 volt source and haven’t had any issue for over a year.

I’m thinking of upgrading to something with a cloud backup, but haven’t pulled the trigger.

Checked this morning (04/19/19) and the Anker is at approximately 20% battery life left so it should last another 1 to 2 days given the HOTSPOT has it's own lithium battery. So this setup will get you about 8-10 days of coverage.

Anker still had about 15% left while I left the Netgear in truck using it's own lithium battery. Netgear battery had 75% left. I think this combination can easily do 12 days before having to be recharged.
