2018 part in driveway ???

Found this in my driveway where I park the truck. Coincidence? Only I use that area ... any ideas? Very stiff steel part. Truck is 3 days old. Thanks for ideas.

It's probably for a parking brake cable, attaches to the frame with a loop to locate the cable. I will try to remember to take a look at mine in the daylight and snap a pic. Usually held on by 1 bolt.
