I guess I would call it a loss of "power", engine/acceleration not electrical. 2013 Raptor with 120K miles. Recently an intermittent issue has been occurring where I lose power for a split second. It feels almost like I am hitting the brakes while trying to accelerate. The truck bogs down for about 1-2 seconds and then continues on. No electrical power loss, no warning lights, no noticeable dip in RPM's even. It has occurred under acceleration, steady pedal, and cruise control (stayed engaged). I am literally stumped. Impossible to recreate on demand of course. Anybody else experienced anything like this? I searched the forum but was unable to locate a similar thread. Thoughts?

Get a hold of a OBDII scanner and run diagnostics.
    Are you running a Tune?
When was the last time you cleaned the Mass Air Flow sensor?
    Air filter clean?
    New Spark Plugs?

It could also be a wheel speed sensor, transmission input and or output speed sensor.

You have to start somewhere and a scanner is the first place to start.

I agree. A data log is the only way you will find the issue without throwing a million parts at it and hoping for success.

Your traction control might be activating for a split second which would cause a loss of power.

Good thoughts here. I’ll run a scan on to see if anything useful shows up. Never would be the answer to cleaning the MAF. Air filter is clean.

To be honest it does feel like the tranny is involved.

I’ll start with scan as suggested but also give the MAF a good cleaning anyway.

Have you done fuse 27 relocation? If you have Torque app log fuel pressure, see what its doing.

I think what the OP was experiencing is something we all have experienced at one time or another. I experience this when I try to keep the truck from down shifting harshly and acting like Ricky Racer, applying less throttle pressure initially but increasing steadily will give me that same feeling once in a while, other times it kicks down one gear and feels normal.

I have the same problem and it is very speratic and intermittent. It did it 2 years ago then stopped all together after taking it in for service on a rear camera It started again a few months ago at slow speeds after a stop. Seems to be happening more often and got worse like a downshift/brake on the highway going about 60-70 mph today. The rpm tac gauge showed 0 mph. The fix has always been pull over and turn off/back on. My truck is a 2014 and is sitting on 184k. Only issue. Will check mass airflow sensor but taking this one to ford for review. Has had recent tune up so plugs, wires, filter all good. fuse 27 done before i purchased back in 2017. Ill keep everyone posted. Let me know if anyone has any new input . Thanks.
