Im really only interested in whats hidden under those 2013 Raptor headlights???

IF the link at the bottom was already posted, my bad. Article written/pics taken last month.

I just hope the 2013 F150 front end change doesnt mean 2012 Raptor owners and prior cant upgrade their headlights next year....that would be San Fran Gay! :supergay:

PS-my 2012 Tux Scab should arrive tomorrow! :peace:

I just hope to hell they leave the grille alone on the regular F150's....

Whats up with the 2 different style rims on it?

probably just grabbed whatever was free and slapped em on to make it driveable. spare parts. thats my guess

and here's another 2013 spy shot of a more base model f-150, it shows the grille update going to the superduty C-clamp style...

Rumor from a very credible source says that the 2013's will have HID's. Same source that leaked the 2012 blue seats for the Raptor, so I'd say it's pretty trustworthy for the 2013. As for if the HID's are projectors or reflectors, no idea just yet on that part.

Fronts are spare 2010-2011 rims in black, rears are spare 2012 rims in black. Guess it goes along with the test mule camo. I am digging the 2012 rims in all black though.

Why? The front end has been the same for 09/10/11/12, it's about due for a facelift. If you want the same boring *** identical design for decades at a time without a facelift, buy a chevy or dodge! At least Ford keeps things fresh every 4-5 years with facelifts between full redesigns.

well, the f150 grille aint big enough to pull of the SD grille look imo. it will look squished.

the grille has gone under changes from the 3 bar design, to a 6 bar design etc.

why make a totally different grille when the whole truck is dues for a redesign in 2014. i just think it would look really bad with a squished superduty-esque grille. just my opinion.

look at the pic above, it doesn't look squished to me, they didn't just cram everything in on the open space and leave the massive thick bars, they resized it all accordingly.

and aside from special trim package grilles, the grille design for the base truck was the same from 04-08, then the same from 09-12. Bringing a refreshed facelift for 13's, I think it's a pretty strong hint that a total redesign isn't coming for 14's. Maybe in '14 as a '15 model, but I'd bet that this current body style with the facelift stays for more than 1 year.

Again, special models like the HD, Raptor, etc. recieved different grilles, or blacked out headlights, but the f150 itself and most trim levels recieved some variation of those same grilles and headlights of those years. It's about due for another refresh to keep things new and keep the F-150 on top.

And i'd say it's a pretty safe bet, a C-clamp style grille, and some revision to the headlights, are in store for a 13-?? body...

The 2 bars and 2 [ ] look eat to slimy to me. I just don't like it lol.
On the super duty it looks good, tough, cause the bars are thick and in your face.

In the f150 pic it looks skinny, and weak. I'm not a fan, never will be.

well, doesn't really matter, it's not a snowmobile anyway LOL!

I've never been the biggest fan of any of the regular f-150 front ends. They look nice, but never really crazy about any of them. Takes the special edition trucks to tickle my fancy, which get a different grille and headlights anyway. Lightnings, Harley Trucks, Raptors, etc.

Regardless of how I feel about the new front end, which I'm not crazy about the C-clamp either, it's still a refresh to a 4 year old front end before it gets too stale like every Chevy and Dodge on the road.
