I bought this truck 2.5yrs ago. When I got it, I rebuilt the shocks, replaced the terrible sounding true dual exhaust with a nice custom built 3.5” single exhaust, Baja Designs Squadron Pro’s on SDHQ a-pillar brackets, JLT intake and a tune that I was never really happy with. I also Installed methods, then replaced those with Gen2 beadlocks when I figured out the zero off set sucks. And did a lot of off-roading.

Fast forward to this year, things got more serious. I got the truck returned in town, and picked up ~20whp/20wtq. It’s getting Fox 3.0’s all the way around, the fronts with DSC. SDHQ tie rods and spindle gussets (welded on by Dertco), Icon upper arms Deaver K96 +3 leafs, camburg stock length shackles, and I had Dertco build a bump stop kit using Fox 2x2” bumps. I have a CBR radiator going in as well.

The spindle gusset were a pain. Lots of time with the torch and multiple passes to keep the weld from cracking. Sucks they’re not forged like Toyota spindles, would’ve been easier to do.

Here’s a lot of pics, not necessarily in order because the pic upload format sucks. The bumpstop kit is still at powder coat so I’ll get pics of that when it goes on.

Next on the list is going to be bumpers, 37’s, and 4.88 gears.

CBR radiator is in. This thing is a monster. Have to trim the fan shroud to fit, and have to unplug the ABS module/pump motor to get the lower hose on the outlet. But fits nicely once everything is in.dfaa390aeeaa4e8a797cacaf27e69c48.jpg

Weird. The forum won’t let me edit my reserved posts...

Anyways. Here’s a pic of the bumpstop kit my fab guy, Dertco, built.

And I put a set of 35x12.5r17 Nitto Ridge grapplers on and they rubbed the icon upper arm as they had maybe a 1/16” of clearance with the truck sitting still. They’re a decent bit bigger than the Toyo AT2’s that came off. I didn’t want to buy wheels as I actually like the 17-18 Beadlock wheels and plan to put the real beadlocks on them. So, I got ARP extended studs and slip on hub/wheel centric 16mm spacers from Motorsport Tech. Only did the fronts as I didn’t have time or diff fluid to pull the rear axles this weekend. They now have plenty of clearance though, and the wheels have an effective offset of +18mm, so 37’s will still fit ok later as the offset isn’t too low. Or I can always change spacers if I want. Pics of the super tight clearance are before the spacers.

For everyone’s reference, the ARP studs for 2015+ mustangs work perfectly. I got the ones that are 1” longer than stock. They’re M14x1.50 thread though, so you’ll need new lug nuts. I went with Ford racing open lugs. The studs have enough room to run probably a 25-30mm spacer if needed.
