The engine is designed to automatically shut off it is a mykey safety feature coming out on new vehicles. Big turn off for some people but very simple to by-pass so the door won't kill the engine.

Nice... What did you have to do to bypass that issue? If you can't tell, I'm very interested in this "mod" that should have come standard....

Basically Audiovox who makes all Ford's remote starts was in agreement for engine shut down with door opening or with key in ignition. They did set it in to programming to disable the feature. Once the remote start is installed and you go into programming mode you go to option bank 2, 5 honks setting 7 and turn it on. That will prevent the engine from shutting down when opening door and will work like all previous year remote starts work. Only advise is if you have my keys set up with restricted access this will override all restricted keys.
