Had the check 4x4 light and wrench light on. Changed the transfer case switch motor as this had issues before. Did not help the situation.. in fact made it worse. Now the truck sounds like it has a supercharger on it and is registering 100mph at 50. Put the old motor back on and now same issue...
Thoughts???

Have also come to the realization that the dash switch is bad...
Any way to get everything to reset without the dash switch

The switch uses internal resistors to differentiate between modes. Values are as follows:

4L - 130 ohms
4H -270 ohms
2H - 619 ohms

So if you were to install a resistor in-line with the circuit, you may be able to get it to change modes. You can also remove the shift motor and turn the shift cam manually with a wrench.
