here is the second hobby of mobbing.
    2005 nissan frontier king cab
    168k currently on the clock
4.0 v6 261hp-280tq and it comes on low
4x4 with a "full travel" front end if you will. the frontiers share the same boxed full sized frame as the titan 04+, so you can literally bolt in the front diff, upper and lowers, inner and outer tie rods, axles for really cheap. this gets you around 10" max travel with a nice upper control arm and some coilover shock tuning. i think final drive ratio is 3.35

the rear is pretty simple, i added a tru trac torsion style lsd and some high quality spacers. final drive ratio is 3.36

with very little mods and money these things can take some trails and keep on trucking. small bodied with a bunch of travel while not sacrificing creature comforts was my main goal. thats why i eventually ended up with a raptor.
its just easier to get the woman in the bush with heated and cooled seats.

    here are some pictures.

i thought i was going to sell it when i bought the raptor, but i got a better deal on the raptor than i had planned and financially am able to keep it. i sold my front bumper and other odds and ends to my buddy with a 2006 frontier. i believe our plan is to swap frontiers next year leaving me with a nicer offroad toy and him trading my old frontier in on a titan.

i will update this as i build it a little more and when we take it offroad. normally only take pictures when the woman goes.

Good to see some a Nissan being modded and used off road. It definitely fits where the Raptor won't.

Frontiers are cool little trucks. I had an Xterra and loved it. They can both do that Titan swap and for the money you spend, it's a big performance upgrade. I've been looking for another X but haven't pulled the trigger yet. Awesome pics!

i think this is one of the better pictures i have of the front suspension. this is a full titan swap, front diff, arms, ect. the only thing thats still frontier is the hub/caliper/spindle. those can be swapped as well but you will have to change bolt pattern. which isnt bad but better do the rear at the same time to match. just $

    V8 swap at stjoe

i need to update this thread with pictures for sure.
i recently swapped a titan v8 into my frontier giving me around 350hp and 400tq, making the truck a very very good time. with the power to weight ratio giving me better mpgs. and the swap as a whole is very oem so i kept ac, gauge cluster ect.

    thing is a blast
