I am running mehod NV 17x8.5, 0 offset 4.75'' backspace.. if replace with 18x9, +18 offset 5.75'' backspace, are the wheels going to stick out more or less? Thinking to go 18inch so I can get some BBK installed, but doesn't wanna lose the wide stance.

Backspace is the distance between the rear lip of the rim and the mounting surface. If you increase the wheel by .5 width and don't change the backspace you move the front wheel lip out .5". Since you are adding an inch of backspace you are moving the outer rim lip .5" in on the truck.

I see.. so with this 18x9 I am moving the wheels in 0.5inch compare to 17x8.5... not very noticable probably in terms of looking... but with 18x9 I probably can stuff BBKs in... decision time:emotions34:

I'm not quite sure how that effects the clearance under the truck. I think it should be ok since its the outside edge of the tires that rub everything, but I am not really sure. See if anyone else is running the wheels you want with the tire size your looking at and ask if they are having rub issues.
