GEN 1 12.1 Android Nav radio install

Ran across this video this morning, anyone installed one of these? Looks simple to do and pretty cool. It's 900.00, more than I want to spend, but cool none the less.

i read somewhere that if you are in radio, and you goto carplay, that the radio stops, and vice versa. if true that, the loss of front camera, and the 1/2 min boot time are enough to convince me to stay with sync 2.
