Wasn't terrible getting new pump on, but I probably got 2-3 hours.
Just gotta refil with fluid now and put skid plates back on.

Busy guy.
That does sound like a lot to have happen in a short time.
Good luck getting it all taken care of and sorted out.

Remember when I mentioned my luck...?
Well, pumps on, full of fluid, and seems to work good now.
BUT
when I first got it installed, pored fluid in, and started truck...
NO power steering, NOISY, and figured new pump was bad.
Started trying to turn wheel back and forth, but just solid.
Not like no power assist.
Like it was STUCK.
Kept left to right, right to left as much as I could.
And felt like something broke, popped, or let loose.
Scary even.
Then more growling and fluid started getting aerated looking.
Still HARD to turn wheel and pump sounded like there wasn't a bearing in it.
Was thinking I was going to have to go through it all again.
Fluid must have started flowing and got better lil' by lil' over 10 minutes or so.
HARD to turn wheel but seemed to be improving.
Ended up raising the front end enough to take majority of weight off.
Lock to lock dozen times.
Finally fluid cleared, quieted down, and seems OK.

BUT...
I was in the garage with hood opened.
Normally not an issue.
But once I raised the truck on the jack, front edge of hood went into the overhead door hardware.
I was so concerned about the pump being junk, I didn't pay attention.
So while cranking the wheel, a bolt head rubbed zig zag patterns near the center of the front of the hood.
Tires were still on floor enough to shift truck an inch this way or that.
Just about SICK when I saw what I did.
PS is OK.
Hood has about 2" x 2" scratched area.
Pretty bad.
Will have to see about getting some paint work, or thoughts of a hood graphic or something to cover.
:(
One thing fixed, another added to list.

Ehh I hear you. That is the worst feeling, because afterward you’re like “how did I not notice this was happening?!?!” Have the damage professionally repaired IMO. You’ll sleep better and not cringe every time you walk past it.

My truck is going into the body shop tomorrow. Rear ended at a dead stop by a small SUV going 40MPH. Just trying to convince myself to stay positive and that the finished repair will be like new.
