Ford Performance tech line looked into the process, even though I received the automated email saying “congratulations, your Truck is built” with an estimated shipping date between Dec 5-Dec 10, it is still showing “Plant Hold” on their end….no other info available.
When I asked what triggered the “Built” status change and the email, he kindly said “well, it’s better than no email, but it only means it probably closer to being ready. I have no information unfortunately. Check back in a week or two if you’d like and we can see if we have any more information….”
Not what any of us want to hear, but it’s still the same waiting game.
Honestly, I think the FP customer chat have no idea what’s going on. It’s the dealership’s that know the most, due to having access to the vinview software. I had the same thing told to me, whn I called. It’s built, but it’s still on chip hold. Meanwhile dealership confirms it’s just awaiting shipment. And the FP person on the phone told me the dealerships will have the most up to date info. I’d suggest asking them directly.
