I had a local body shop "smoke" the mirror reflectors and undercoat the rear fender wells. The white paint under the fender wells was really bugging me.
I also had the windows professionally tinted.
I wouldn't mind selling my Raptor since I never drive it.
I special ordered it in Jan and picked it up in May. It only has 2200 miles on it and is flawless. Its garage kept and never driven in the rain. The only time it was washed is at the dealer the day I took delivery. I just wipe it...
No, the paint was cool and I've never waxed my vehicles in the sun. The glaze came off easy. The Americana was more difficult than I was expecting. I applied it in a thin layer, but ended up using the quick shine detail spray to get it all off.
It was harder than I expected to get the Americana off of the smooth paint. I would imagine it would be even more difficult to get it off of the textured graphics.
I just Put a layer of Adam's Glaze and Adam's Americana on my Raptor's paint. Would have liked to have put them over the graphis but I didn't take the risk of it not being compatible for them.
Guess I'm about to do it the old fashion way... Without a machine.
I'm planning to do the waterless wash, Adam's claybar, Griots paint sealant, Adams Brilliant Glaze, then Adam's Americana Wax.
I'm not going to risk applying the products over the graphics.
My arms and shoulders are...
I might just do it the hard way by hand. All of my polishes/protectants have arrived. There sure are mixed reviews on whether to apply griots sealant before or after the glaze and wax. I've pretty much decided against applying over the hood and bed graphics.
As described in my recent post, I've ordered a sealant, glaze, and wax from Griots and Adams.
I'm dreading all of the elbow greese that it will take to do the three steps on the Raptor. I'm considering a Rotary polisher, yet I worry about doing more harm than good because i've never used...
He didnt have any tint wide enough to do my windshield. Only charged $100 to do all of the windows though. He sent pictures and it looks great... I might get the windshield done later on.
I'm getting my windows tinted tomorrow. I'm not sure on what percent to go and whether or not to get the windshiled tinted. It will be $100 without doing the windshield or $140 including the windshield. Not a bad price and the guy does excellent work.
Anyone have their windshield tinted...
