After the Phoenix Open, for better or worse, I am in the market for a prerunner style bumper that is heavily constructed and can accept (maybe modified) for a front receiver. I am considering the Honey Badger by Addictive Desert Designs but seems I would have to modify the top of the skid plate...
After returning from the DDII event in Maine and doing 600 miles of trails with big ass jumps thrown in, I am noticing - when I come to a complete stop or when I start from a stop, a "nudge" sound and sensation; like the bed is moving forward or back. Checked the bed bolts and looked underneath...
MotionX is a $1.99 app that can be downloaded onto your iPhone or iPad. For our purposes an iPad is ideal due to large screen size. The app will work with or without an internet connection or cell data (i.e. mobile hotspot setup and running on your phone). However, when there is no internet...
I have outfitted my roof rack and basket with a 30" rear facing, two 7" side facing work lights and two forward facing 8.7" HID's.
I am looking for a weatherproof connector that can be chassis mounted in roof or cut into 3rd brake light that allows me to disconnect lighting harness when I...
I seem to be following that old adage that "You never have enough lights", and I am wondering at what point do you need to upgrade your electrical system to handle the additional load on the system?
I have 120 watts (12 pack of M&R fogs) in bumper, 40" light bar (240 watts) behind grill, (2)...
After some hard off roading up in Maine, the onboard navigation is not getting a GPS signal (at best it is intermittent). Shows the NO GPS icon on screen and is placing me in areas that I am not; like the middle of Atlantic ocean.
Ford tried resetting the Nav back to factory settings and...
So, for Christmas received a Dewalt 20v 1/2" impact cordless wrench and picked up a 21mm socket so I can change tires easily. Except the 21mm doesn't fit my lugs?? Checked 3 other Raptors this morning at Sunday coffee, that had OEM wheels/lugs, and the 21mm fit all of theirs.
Weird...
So I had an extra set of M&R fogs and decided to get creative and modify the lower 20" grill to accept them.
Here are photos of the finished product prior to mounting to the truck. Will post the installation photos after I complete the project tomorrow.
While at my local dealership getting 30K mile check, JPO's new 2014 Blue Scab also happened to showed up. The sales manager told me that Ford just released two 2014 Raptors to them for stock. Delivery dates already scheduled for June. One Black Screw and one Race Red Screw.
If interested PM...
I heard back from Overland Experts and the date for the Off Road Recovery Course has been set for Sunday June 1st.
Below is a copy of what info has been posted thus far. I do need to hear back on who is coming. We need to have a minimum of 18 attendees with a maximum of 24. PLEASE CONFIRM...
We did a Raptor Run in CT recently with 20 trucks having various tire types and I have to say the one truck with TrXus MT's ruled the day and the trail. There was 18 to 24" of slushy snow over icy hard pack. We spent most of the day recovering trucks and I was impressed that the truck running...
One of our CT guys just picked up a 5.4 Raptor which has been modified. Dealer he bought it from didn't provide much info. Mid-Perch, headers are obvious but the engine set up looks different. See pic below. Thoughts? is this standard?
Raptors from CT, RI & MA are doing some trails tomorrow, Sunday 12/8 in Northern CT. For those interested check out the CT Thread in Northeast section. May have some snow!
So, just before lunch today my dealership calls me and asks if I can stop by since they have something for me. I think :wtf2:
I stop by at lunch time and they present me with an official Raptor hat and F150 shirt that they ordered for me - even had the size right! Since it's been 4 months...
I know Facebook is working on it and Rhino GPS units have the feature but how about an FRF app that works with Google Maps on smartphones and allows you to see any other FRF member nearby on your phone.
Here's the vision - you load the app onto your phone and when you are out and about or...
It just happens to be the weekend I and others will be at Rausch Creek. SVT will be there as well as a Raptor training course put on by Ford. Just may have to go a day early and stay a day later!

Not sure if there is a similar thread in the history but I have had a few recent compliments that are worth mentioning. There have been 3; in ascending order:
#3 - "That's a Man Cave on Wheels"
#2 - as I was holding the door for a young lady coming out of Starbucks; my truck was parked...
Has anyone used a suction cup camera mount on the dashboard by the speaker successfully? Model suggestion?
I do not have a Go-Pro but a Pentax Optio with a 1/4" screw hole.
I was wondering what the best way is to adjust the projection angle of auxiliary lighting. I just added the M&R fog setup (incredibly easy..more on that once I do the light adjustments) and now want to adjust them for best angle and spread.
One thought I had was to purchase some laser pointers...
Ever since I picked up new 2012 Raptor from dealer about a month ago the truck has been pulling to the left ever so slightly. The red center mark is almost to the fuel gauge when on flat straight highway. Approx 1-2 degrees. Two mechanics at dealer rode with me and said yes it needed...
They say nothing is ever easy and buying a new Raptor has fulfilled on that cliche. Ordered new 13 Raptor Screw and was told I wouldn't receive till May. Sucks but was willing to wait. Then called by dealership that they had a 2012 SCrew in Black on hold at dealership in Trenton,NJ for me...
Picked up my new 2012 SCREW last Thursday and headed ice climbing with the boys in NH. I have the soft folding tonneau cover and quickly realized it was a bitch to get our gear out without taking the cover off. Does anyone make a slide out cargo "drawer" for the bed?
