i would assume, bc these vendors will charge hundreds of dollars for a glorified clamp collar, that they do test and there is room for coil bind? This method could in fact do the same as a traditional leveling kit. It could limit bump bc the coil binds before the shock is actually collapsed.
WOW this raptor thing is crazy and has really evolved into something SPECIAL……..i thought gen 1 was bad, this gen 2 and its price is really going to bring the even dumber asses into the off road scene:ROFLJest:
So i noticed slop vertically in my rear axle a few years ago. Thought maybe the axle bearings were getting bad. the rear wheels would also click as i would come to a stop on sorta bumpy road. I did some internet research and concluded that i didn't like the style of the oem/sterling bearings. I...
I've been a member longer than you.....I didn't just come here. A lot of the info you are getting is biased. Go take a look on a site that that is offroad based not just raptors. All the shitt that don't work or you can't do has been done and is still working to this day.
I get on this site on my breaks at work......I don't sit all evening searching for giffs and posts and pictures n shitt. I don't build anything you guys never seen before. Never claimed to. Simply put I said I could 4 link my truck for less than 8k that giant charges for a bolt on kit. That's...
I'm not trying to say I'm the best fab guy there is, but simply there are a thousands ways to do things right, wrong, or indifferent. I have an open mind. I know different setups work, I've seen them work. NTM most of the time can be an arrogant prick! I'm sure he's a good guy and nice in person...
Jimbo, with that one figure you have pointing at me, there are 3 pointing pointing back at yourself......get back to op's original question......you guys all clearly think there is only one way to do things.
IS THERE ANY ISSUE's W GIANT DDL KIT?
Other than you pay 4k to spec and buy...
So now you have time and you clearly have the smarts, stop showing us how big ur wallet is, but yet how good your fab skills are since they are worth so much money.
Not trying to bash your setup or anything. Don't take it the wrong way. Plenty of people have success with stock rear ends of all types w cast center section. Obviously fabbed 9 or bigger is better. You CAN weld cast steel... I have and seen plenty successful jobs. Me personally I can build...
by going of a shitt angle of your bed cage picture, i can't see how you remove the bed as its built right through the bed? did i miss something or can you explain how its removable? thanks
depends what your doing with your truck, and your mechanical abilities. you want something simple, on/ off road comfort? ddl is a great option imo. Able to fab and work on your truck yourself? 4 or 3 link. Imo i could do a lot more myself for a better price. everything has its issues. seems...
it takes literally minutes to do front and rear a "ghetto" way. you can simply cut them down and put them back on like I've seen many people do. these guys are taking the extra steps to use what they cut off the face off the flare and now add that section underneath to create and edge or...
sprung under will probably work better with a longer spring.. move your front hanger forward and your rear shackle and mount hanger back. longer spring, more arch. thats what they do with mini trucks anyways. makes sense to me. for example giants link killer springs have about as much spread...
i had sdhq tie rods with the aluminum clevis on the steering rack……it fits inside the rack end but the 1/2'' bolt for the inner tie rod end did hit the rack end……..i can see what op is saying his probably does hit……….my kit should be done soon…..if its a big deal i might just get camburg...
maybe the raptor with fade away…..more people got started in off road with the first raptor……..soon realized they need more……now realizing they can get way more for less starting with an f150……who knows. i have always loved my 5.0…..being in the lightest f150 as well makes it feel that much...
Haha.....I've had terrible luck with people aligning my truck......how about L & R hand thread rod ends on ur tie rods......whoops inners are loose must have not known they are there
Forget ford specs.....align it like the offroad truck it is......
if you use your truck off road quite frequently id get rid of the slots….. i welded some plates on the lower mounts boxed it in a little bit. i have icon uppers i made a tool for the upper mount alignment……last time i took my truck to the shop it was in factory spec just from a tape measure and...
black spiral wrap works good too….i have some on my reservoir hoses, they like to rub on the bottom of the coil bucket….(fox's anyway)…

Spiral Cable Wrap Loom - Black
works good on the rear end loom and...
you switch to uniballs and your truck will drive like a tank on rails……when your lca inner pivots go you'll be SOL. i have just the solution. rpg lca's for sale for not much more than a set of new oem lowers would cost.
