I just got a new battery after 2.5 years from the factory. I got a much better battery, more CCAs too (850). The factory battery stopped holding a charge. Kept dying on me. Alternator and terminals were all good. New battery in and no more problems now.
The cutouts will use a 2-way button and you have to hold it (both ways) to make it work. You could try holding it a few seconds while the engine's running to see if anything happens.
It is probably for the alarm. It's like a valet mode button or something like that. Just trace the wires and see...
This is why I'm going with the 40" kit, it mounts to the frame and bumper supports, not the hood/grille itself. It is well below the main radiator area too.
But having the LED bar *ON* my truck is legal, yes? Just can't use it while on-road? Or can't GET CAUGHT USING IT on-road? How would someone know if I flip it off as soon as I see other traffic coming around me?
BTW, I see nothing which states I can't use this, in my local TX laws...
Well I can't even download the image/zip. My vehicle is too outdated I guess, so I can't manually update it. The dealer has to.
I was hoping to use the Sync Services features - like where you sync iTunes or can send info to your truck, those features... ???
What about NAV updates? Is there a...
I got my (used) 2010 Raptor not to long ago... Finally logged into syncmyride.com and registered.
I filled out the VIN and info and it I tried to download the updates. It told me manual update is unavailable for my vehicle. I have to take it to the dealer for it to be updated.
The service...
Are these behind-grille light bars "street legal"? I want to use them as aux/fog/high beam lights while driving on country roads in the middle of nowhere at night... Thanks!
I got the Philips X-Treme power. SAME EXACT as stock. VERY disappointed, luckily I could return for free via Amazon (I buy everything via Amazon Prime!!).
I hesitated with the SilverStars cuz of the reviews saying they don't last very long (being overpowered or something like that). Maybe I...
Mid perch and I left mine as-is. But I did notice my driver's side bulb looked too low. I raised up a bit. Power screwdriver FTW. Makes it a lot quicker. I might lower them down a hare, but I haven't got flashed yet and I like them as high up as they can be..
I wouldn't be surprised if you go back to lower perch and it is all the same. Snake oil. I notice bumps in the road as well now (mid-perch too) but I think they were always there, I just am noticing them more because I'm paying more attention to the suspension now that I tweaked it (went to...
You gotta go to like Media Jukebox and then somewhere there is an import button. I'd have to go out into my cold garage and start it up and look around a while to find the exact menus. I'm sure you can figure it out. It's not via CD mode I remember that much..
FWIW, you can get syringes (for FREE) from like CVS or Walgreens in the Pharmacy section. I asked and they just gave me a couple for free. Couldn't believe it!
Thanks Steele, I'll just do some more searching on the grille removal... Thanks again for the info and props on the truck. Makes me wish I got white. Looks great with the (now) black trim!
Yeah, actually I'm an intarwebz troll sent to earth just to mess with you..
I actually have seen those plastidip videos and maybe even that thread. Like I said before I have done plenty of plasti-dipping, although always willing to learn something new.. Anyways, my question was how did he...
Why? Because I have only a handful of posts? I actually don't frequent this forum, I am primarily on the "other" forum. Anyways, thanks for your helpful response oh almighty knowledgable one..
FYI I experimented with PlastiDip before I used it and found you need a good 4-5 layers on or else it doesn't peel off that well. Something to consider, I saw someone said they only put 2 coats on. I'd be surprised if it peels off like you had hoped. The good news is you can just go and add a...
Ha way too easy. I took like 5 seconds to pop each of them off. 5 more seconds to get the Sony thing off. They are painted and drying now... Thanks for the info and tips!!
