grantoser: your dealer is giving you BS. Reading from the Ford notice I received JUN 2011, it says: "Ford Motor Company is providing a no-charge customer satisfaction program (program number 11B25) for your vehicle, with VIN shown above.." And, the notice had my VIN. It goes on to say Ford...
Big Blue,
Appreciate the rear facing amber set up ! It came in just as promised and setup is just as described. Great little mod that is easy to install and take down. For those considering this, Mike (Big Blue) is the real deal - stands by his word and delivers a quality setup. Thanks !
No part of the bracket should stick out beyond the edge of the bumper (or out the hole as you say). If the passenger side is mounting correctly, I suspect your bumper is misaligned. Once that is adjusted, the bracket will probably fit.
I had a similar problem with mounting the rigid dullies in the stock bumper cutouts. The passenger side fit great, the drivers side setup hit the bumper. After taking a few measurements, I found out the front bumper came from the factory out of alignment. Once I adjusted the front bumper so...
Definitely looks like FL with that green in in the photo and I think Oak trees in the back. See you did what other FL raptor owners have done (tint the windows). Those wheels/tires look great.
I was career SOF, spent about 29 years Active duty and about 25 of those were in Special Ops. I was an ODA detachment commander for a few years and moved up the ranks. I retired out of US Special Operations Command and now work there as a gov't employee in charge of the Training Division...
Your info seems consistent with that of other raptor owners I have read ref the drive shaft replacement. MFG date determines if you are covered by the 11B25 program. However, I have also heard of some dealers flexing a bit on the MFG date, if the truck is exhibiting the clunk issue.
Would...
Drive shafts that are bad end in AB or BB.
Drive shafts that are good end in AC or BC.
However, you should have received the customer satisfaction program annoucement 11B25 if your truck is covered. At least tell your dealer to refer to that program number if you get the run around.
Would not take that bet. Age may be an indicator of experience, but not necessarily so with respect to common sense or intelligence. I've seen young troops in AF and IQ that make us proud with respect to leadership, responsibility, and just getting the job done. Have also seen the middle...
10 trucks with bent frames + 1 from the so called pre-run (by my count), that really proved to be not much of a pre-run at all. The aspect of this that keeps getting lost is that if they had of done a good pre-run and marked the trouble spots, slowed down and maneuvered around the problem...
Other than the 10-14 trucks that are now famous for bent frames (sorry I don't recall the exact number), what is this "rash" of frame issues? Seems a lot of smoke, but not much fire.
