Diff oil darkens with use like any other oil. Does it fragrance burnt? At 41K I would anticipate it to be dark. Black is always better than milky (water in the oil). Diff can't be enclosed absolutely (has to vent out somewhere). I think manufacturer assurance passes away at 32 to 36K.
