Follow up....
Well unfortunately my second Motorcraft battery did not last the 9 years my original one did.
This one only lasted 2 1/2 years.
Good news was Ford has a 3 year replacement warranty, Dealership supplied new one 0 charge.
This is my 18x7.5 with 5ft V nose, all aluminum. Trailer itself weighs about 2000 pounds. Generally, when I trailer with it, cargo weight is about 2,500 pounds. Tows great hardly know its back there.
My caliper slide pins dried up, no grease. this was at 60,000 miles. Would make some strange creaking, popping noises. Replaced pins, greased. Pads and rotors were still in good shape. No more strange noises from the back.
I had similar problem. Checking with vacuum pump/ gauge discover the line connecting to the IWE was not sealing well. Cut 1/2 inch off, reconnected, problem solved.
My original lasted 9 years. Part # BXT65850 (65) Motorcraft
850 CCA was stock. I got the best price from Ford parts .com. Put order in threw website and picked up at local dealership.

Hard to ask for anyone when it keeps going to voice mail ;)
On a positive note, after flashing back to factory tune I was able to pass emission test today.
I ended up going with the 5 Star over JDM. I couldn't justify paying double the price for JDM.
As for 5 star customer service, I'm a little on the fence. I installed the 87 performance tune, noticed better shift points and throttle response.
Problem is this year when I went for vehicle...
It would not be your front diff unless you have it in 4 wheel drive. Under normal driving conditions nothing spins in there. Axel and transfer case are disconnected.
Vacuum pump is your friend. I found the hose connecting to the IWE on the drivers side leaking (visually it looked fine). Cut half inch off the hose and stuck it back on, problem solved.
A buddy of mine made the exact sound. It's a broken plug. The noise is the arch snapping inside the porcelain. One of your 16 plugs is bad. Find it replace it and report back
Well I still have the original battery from the factory . It will be 9 years old if it makes it to March 2021. When it fails I'm going with another Motorcraft.
This is my tow set-up. This trailer with 3 snowmobiles weighs in around 4500lbs. Tow this on stock suspension (have Gen 2 shocks all around). Tows great, have over 6,000 miles on this set up. Like others said it does like its fuel 8-10 mpg. Stay within tow rating and truck will be fine.
Like others have said, spray with a rust preventive. I have fluid filmed my truck every fall since new. This has absolutely made a huge difference. The undercarriage still looks new.
Second thing i noticed was in the really cold days my power steering pump would wine after startup. Started...
