Looks like it went well after we left. I'm glad you guys made it down and back ok. Sorry we couldn't be there the whole time, but aside from the mishaps we had a great time. Excited and looking forward to the next adventure.
Yeah e30 might be the right fix lol. The lines have been replaced several times. Rather new ones on it at the moment. It's been tested as well. Technically it works presently, but do I trust it hell no...
I concur. As you upgrade you find the next weakest link. I.E. the big sore thumb is the IWEs for me at least at this point. However, even stock the IWEs pretty well suck... Pun intended. But, as in Fords viewpoint live axles are a bad idea.
...Not directed toward you, mainly my "opposition"...
Never said it was the root cause. I said I didn't want to have more issues through having a constantly rotating axle.
Related or not if you do more of the thing that ultimately results in the issues it'd cause more of said issue... Speaking of rotating axles.
The patient says, " Doctor, it...
Clearly your opinion of it is biased as you aren't having problems...
Boot issues are related too a constantly turning axle... Otherwise the boot would sit stationary with the axle.
Sometimes you do need 4x4 at high speed... Slick terrain such as ice, snow, muddy trails... There's plenty of...
I was just noting he didn't do much of anything at speed and had stock travel. In theory I would think more than stock travel at speed is the reason I occasionally have boot issues in 4x4.
Their reasons are the reasons I've given in multiple different posts. Just told me to keep using IWEs...
True, however he was stock travel, just 3.0s. Furthermore, he spent most of his time muddin' or rock crawling.
Some well known shops have also advised me against it. The decision is yours though.
I've had sh*t tons of issues with them as well. Mine usually works until under stress then... There goes more IWEs. Usually pay for the fixes or do the work myself. The 4x4 systems in these things are the biggest joke in automotive history... And they put them in the next Jen too.
Stock bumper. Intake and so forth for the engine parts. Basically everything that was swapped when the supercharger was installed.
Pm sent. They're in AZ.
These are good comments and posts. There's a good possibility I'll like opinions on which hubs to run down the line and related other necessities such as caliper and rotor ideas, but presently the central topic is regarding our electronics. We can argue the merits and demerits of hubs, locking...
People are entitled to their opinions and I'm not much for arguing unless I feel it's necessary, so I won't. However, there's been plenty of documented CV and Boot issues plus even the occasional broken axle. I've personally had several boots go and a few CVs. I carry a couple boot replacement...
There's been a lot of discussion about this so I don't feel like retyping everything. Without the IWE under extreme stress, something will give. I would like to theorize it'd be the locking hub with one. Plus all the below things why RCV IWE Eliminators are bad. Rebuildable hubs would be handy...
No wasn't thinking Dodge, just an example I found quickly. Think I replaced 6 sets last year... I hate the 4x4 systems in these things. Smallest amount of stress and everything goes tits up. Not to mention the electronic systems make solutions for most things a pita.
I agree thats also the...
I'd probably use a RCV axle with CVs on both ends or another custom setup.
RCV already makes CVs for the Dana 60.

There's a few hurtles to jump or at least more parts needed such as...
