    2013 SCAB Towing Sway

Bought my SCAB new May 2013. I have RPG front and RPG rear springs with stock shocks. The rear springs were the standard Deaver not the HD option. 56,000 miles. I recently towed a drop deck 10,000 rated dual axle trailer from Arizona to LA and back. It's a pretty stout trailer, 10 ft long...

Time for new brakes - Posi Quiet Pad Question

I will replace the rotors and pads and I will also install stainless lines. I have no complaints about the OEM brakes and they have been quiet. Freedom motor sports Posi Quiet Ceramic pads are very popular here. I'm concerned that the ceramic brakes will squeak more. For those who have them...

Any idea where this rubber part goes?

Anyone know where this rubber cover goes? I had an annoying noise from something rolling around inside my truck. Tooks the console out this am and found this trapped between the console housing and the flow through duct. I also found a shift bolt I lost there two years ago :)

    Some @sshat hit my truck

Somebody scraped their white car against the front passenger bumper and fender flair. I was able to straighten the bumper out by hand and I had a 3M chip shield film on the bumper and it looks like all the damage to the bumper is on the film which is easy to replace. I would like to replace...

Front shocks 1,100 miles on them

For sale, the front shocks from my 2013 SCAB. I pulled them at 1,100 miles to put on the RPG Fox 3.0 system. They have been sitting in my garage ever since. Like new condition. $500 if picked up in the Phoenix area.

    I need a winch

I off road in AZ in the desert and I had assumed a winch would be a luxury. Last week I was out with a couple of jeeps having a great day. Lots of narrow spots and desert pinstripes but overall a great day. Towards the end we were driving up a fairly steep hill on "the easy way up" to avoid 4...

    Longer Oil Filter

I am using Amsoil EAO11 filters on my 6.2L Raptor. They are shockingly small. It seems like there is plenty of room for a taller filter in the engine bay. IF you look at a cut apart EAO11 the filter media is quite a bit shorter than the can. If I got a filter 50% taller it would have almost...

Solved an annoying Sqeek, sharing for others

After the last spirited off road trip my SCAB developed an annoying high pitch squeak that happened with every imperfection on the road. I spent several hours under the truck and could never find anything loose. Today we had another fun trip and the squeak drove us nuts. On the way home I...

    Any newer Lowrance Units coming?

Noah had some info late last year that Lowrance was coming out with new systems but his source of info is gone. If I buy now I'd get a 7M. Does anyone here have insight? I don't want to buy the current one only to have a newer one show up a month later. PM if you can't say in the open...

    School me on light placement

I am getting the bug to add lighting to my truck. I would like to balance performance, wind noise, and overall height. I can't go above the roof line as I only have 1-2" of clearance in the parking garage at work and also at the airport. I live in AZ so I don't deal with snow or fog. Looks...

    Check wheel damaged in wreck?

As I posted elsewhere my daughter was in a hit and run accident Sunday in the Raptor. Fortunately she is all right. The truck appears to only have minor damage, a ruined tire, bead lock trim ring, and rear drivers side fender flare trim. The hit and run driver hit the drivers side rear...

    Hit and Run Accident Today

My daughter was driving my Raptor today and some guy in a Toyota Versa was driving on her left and a little bit behind her front door. Stupidly the guy decided he needed to be 3 lanes to the right and whipped his car into the drivers side rear wheel hard enough to spin the truck 90 degrees...

    Power Mirror Memory Problem

I have a 2013 SCAB with 2375 miles on it. I've owned it for 3 months. Pretty much since new, the power mirror memory has had issue. For some unknown reason every few days it defaults back to some memory location that is not what I have stored. I set the mirrors, store the position, and then...

Should I worry about mid perch on a 2013

I've read that the 2013 is much more sensitive to perch settings than prior years due to the Torsen limited slip in front. I would like to put RPG stage 4 coil over shocks on the front and they are supposed to ride about the height of mid perch with the stock setup. I want to avoid CV...

    RPG Stage 3 Initial Impressions

I ordered the RPG Stage 3 rear kit, (Bump stop kit and National springs) a few weeks ago. Business and vacation travel kept me from installing them immediately. Rigid D2 Flush Mount Backup Light Review

I installed Rigid Industries D2 Flush Mount Flood Pattern lights in my bumper Sunday. The installed went well. I wired them to the backup light on the trailer harness because for my usage I only really see needing them when backing up. The beams on the D2 Floods were however too focused for...

Positive Rigid Industries, good customer service today

I bought D2 flush mount flood pattern lights for my rear bumper. They turned out be too focused of a beam for the backup camera use. I read on their site that you could get a diffused lens so I called today. The guy on the phone said it was no problem, but the warranty department would have to...

Factory Spare location, extra lock needed?

I live in AZ and we hear all the time about spare tires being stolen from under SUVs and Pickups. The SVT Beadlock would be a target I think. does anyone have a recommendation? I hear cable locks don't stop the thieves as they carry a bolt cutter and steal by cutting the end off the cable...

Ford Rear Camera Visual Parking Aid Question

I watched the DVD that came with the Raptor. On the DVD when using the backup camera with the Visual Parking Aid they show color blocks that light up showing how far each sensor is from an obstacle. All I get is the colored fixed lines and beeping. In the video you get those and the color...

Best offroad GPS? Lowrance Elite 5M or HDS 7 or other?

From a practical usability perspective when off road, what's the best solution ignoring price (this is how I start research). Then I evaluate if the price delta is enough. The 5 series Lowance seem to have a really small screen but a big box. One could get the 7" or other tablet and it...
