    New 2014 Platinum Owner

Hey Raptor Peeps, A few months ago I decided to trade in the Raptor on a Subaru. I just couldn't live with the cost of Raptor ownership and commuting in it any more. Big mistake! I missed my truck. So today I went and took advantage of some good pricing and incentives and picked up a...

How many miles to first brake job?

I've got about 23k on my 2013. I've done some towing and 'froading over the first couple of years. I think I've started to hear the brake wear sensors in the past few days. I took a peek at the front rotors today and they look a little rough. Not near as smoove as the rears. I'm curious how...

MFT 3.6 Not indexing all music on USB thumb drive

Ever since the 3.6 My Fucked Technology update it seems to be refusing to index all the music on my 64GB thumb drive. I've tried formatting it, resyncing my tunes to the drive and them putting it back in the truck with no glory. Has anyone else had this problem and/or found a solution? Thanks.

How many '13 wheels/tires can I get in the Raptor bed?

How many '13 stock (non-beadlock) wheels/tires (mounted) can I fit in the bed of the Raptor with them laying flat on their sides? I'm hoping I can get two side-by-side on the floor of the bed and then stack two on top of those and get the bed closed. Is this possible? I do have a backflip F1...

    Cleaning lug nutz wheel areas

Anyone have a slick trick for cleaning the wheel impressions around the lug nutz? I guess I can stick a micro fiber towel in there with my finger but there has to be an easier/quicker way.

Should I Be Concerned About This?

So after reading the thread on jacked up steering racks I had a peek under my truck to look for any signs of problems and saw a bit of a stain on the skid plate just below the steering rack. It appears to be mostly dry, aka not actively leaking. Could it be from an oil change? A power...

    Straps behind rear seat headrests

Does anyone know what these straps are for? There is one behind each rear seat headrest in my Screw. I was hoping pulling up on them would allow the seats to be flipped down. I tried tugging upward on them but it do anything. Are they simply for raising the seat back up or what?

Shallow rear floor mat for Screw

So I recently installed a du-ha box under the rear seat of the Blue Screw. The OEM rubber floor mat extends deeply under it and is difficult/awkward to remove for cleaning. Does anyone know of a shallow make/model that wouldn't extend under the seat/du-ha? It can be rubber or carpeted. My...

    Fine desert dust

So I've been to the desert twice in the past 6-7 weeks. The fine desert dust that floats in the air out there gets in every nook and cranny in the truck, inside and out. Anyone have any recommendations on the best way to clean it, especially on the interior? My interior looks like a vacuum...

Rear bumper contact with bed rail

So after my first trip to the desert I noticed that the right side of the bumper had raised up more than the left side. After the trip this past weekend I looked again and found that it had raised up even more and made slight contact with the bed rail on the side, some minor scratches. I'm...

    Two parking spots

Who else takes up the most part of two parking spots almost everywhere they go? It's funny, when I first got my Mustang I'd park it in the south forty and take up two parking spots (just because, heh, this is my new mustang.) Occasionally I'd get some A-hole who would park close to me on...

Removing scratches from brushed metal plastic dash trim

Hi Guys, I put a couple scratches in my brushed metal plastic dash piece just above the glove box. Does anyone know of a way of removing them? I was thinking of trying some 0000 steel wool but I'm afraid of damaging it even more. Steve H.

How to fix damaged wheel well liner

So my front passenger side wheel liner sustained some damage in the desert this past weekend. Basically, it looks like all the screw holes aft of the wheel were broken open and the liner pulled out. Two questions... 1. With the screw holes broken, do I need a new liner or can I repair the...

Bedspread - Cause, Correction and Prevention

So I wanted to start a thread on this issue so we can perhaps figure out a way to prevent and correct it. There were quite a few comments in the SEMA run thread about this. My first question is, is this happening to people with and without frame reinforcement kits or what? Is it a side...

Towing - Did I bite off more than I (and the Raptor) can chew?

So I recently bought a 4400 lb. 26' travel trailer to tow behind my Raptor on trips to the desert and elsewhere. Not knowing a lot about towing and vehicle capacities, I did some basic research and thought "sure, the Raptor can handle that trailer easily. I was talking with Cory at RPG today...

    Raptor Owner's Creed (revised)

I'm dreaming of a 44" Baja Designs OnX LED bar

Hey Guys, So I'm going to put some variety of the BD OnX LED bar behind my grill. The grill bump stop bolts (same ones used to mount the 40" rigid) are 43 and 3/8ths apart center-to-center. The 44" Onx bar is 44.5" wide with the bracket. The mount holes are under the bar and a little back...

Desert Whoops - Give me the skinny

Okay all you experienced desert drivers. I'm taking my blue screw out to the Anza Borrego desert on November 2nd to de-virginize it. Here's my question. Lots of whoops out there. What can my stock truck handle, and at what speed? Whoops are kind of like a ocean wave. What can...

Broken Wire Harness Cap in Engine Compartment

Found this under my hood yesterday. I took it to the Ford dealer this morning and they are trying to find the cap but they're having a hard time finding the part number. I don't really want them taking out the whole wiring hardness. Any Ford professionals know the part number on that?
