GEN 2 Getting Wiring Into Center Console

If "the car stereo company" has photos, that might be your best help. 1. Trim panels: They are the panels on either side of console running up to dash: they snap on/off except...I believe at the very front....Thought I remembered a screw holding them in. just work it carefully. Should allow...

GEN 2 Getting Wiring Into Center Console

I had to bring wires in from the front (Power, radio head) and the rear (antenna). For the front entry I pulled the trim panels on either side of the console (they run towards the center stack/under the dash). Everything was snap in but the very front (1 philips screw I believe, each side, all...

    GEN 2 Serious engine hesitation

I was actually hoping you would take a look at one of the online sites and see how different the new motor is from the old one. Sorry I wasn't able to help you.

    GEN 2 Serious engine hesitation

A question you might want to answer yourself is: From the Air Box Hose to the Intake Manifold, what parts are the same between the original Ecoboost motor and the redesigned Phantom unit in the Gen 2 Ford Raptor? Bonus question: Do the motors have similar airflow characteristics or...

    GEN 2 First oil change

Let's see: 1. You could change your oil. 2. You can wait and change your oil late in the game, and no big deal. 3. You can wait and change your oil late in the game, and wonder if your problems might not be so bad if you had changed your oil early. I went with #1 at 1500 miles and then...

    Stall While Driving

One of the most important control inputs for safety is the vehicle's throttle system. There is no reason that I would put a 3rd party modification on without a lot of research. I'm glad to hear that the results are just people assing up their own vehicles, and we are not getting reports of...

    Ugh.....Oil leak

Got me. 2 things that I always do: 1) feel around and make damn sure there is nothing left from the old oil filter's gasket. 2) lube the new oil filter's gasket. I don't think this old dog will remember that new trick. ---------- Post added at 08:06 PM ---------- Previous post...

    GEN 2 Drive modes missing

The manual, or the MyKey link (posted above) will give you the procedures to get your restricted key back to normal. Alternatively, you could just get a key tag and mark the restricted one "STARBUCKS/MALL USE"

    Oil change?

OK, I'll bite: So exactly what has your experience been? As far as the quality, please educate me on your take with Mobil 1's conformance to API's ILSAC Standard GF-5? Is the issue a general one related to the current SN rating, or specifically with respect to Ford's WSS-M2C945-A requirement...

    First Oil Change & Tips/Tricks

That's one of those things that you only do 1 time. 20 years ago I did that. To this day I still double check the old filter AND physically feel the mating surface for any old gasket left behind on the block.

Well if 'Guy from car wash' said it....go for it. Why bother with what the factory and 7 years of experience on this forum has concluded? Photos of the reason you stopped listening to 'Guy from car wash': 2 points Video of the reason you stopped listening to 'Guy from car wash': 10 points.

Wanna see how wide a raptor is??

Running the motor while the truck is on its side must be causing all of those fumes.

    Low engine oil pressure

Sorry for your pain. If the Oil pressure is normal, that would be a good thing for your engine. Hope they quickly find what's triggering the warning indicator. Lots of electronics in these new vehicles, that's a good thing and a pain in the ass.
