Hey Gents,
I had a custom set of lights done some years ago on my '12. Morimoto 5Five 50W Ballasts were used. The lights are growing dim, so I thought I'd try to get fresh new ballasts to improve the brightness. Can't find these ballasts anywhere, or anything that may look like a direct...
OP here.
I haven't done any 90' jumps with it yet, but this thing is solid. I've tossed it through some whoops and pretty jarring stuff at a good clip... nothing. I forget it's there. Frankly, I can't imagine what type of force would make this thing move or rip from its mount. Mainly because...
Well, this has been helpful... :idiot:
Now, thanks to you I'm gonna worry about all the other fluids, ...like navigation fluid, antenna fluid, ...:fca5278d:
Please don't tell me we don't have indicators for low glove compartment door hinge fluid either!? It's been little sloppy lately.
Don't our trucks have "Low windshield fluid" light??
I ran out in the middle of a trip, in bad weather, far from nearest gas stop and it got pretty hairy. Couldn't see shit.
No dashboard indication of low fluid.
Edited:
Forgot to say I'm in 2012 SCrew.
Holly s___t!!
That is.... uhm...upsetting!! - to be tame about it.
So that means you can't take your family out friggin' camping with some 'toys'??? That's ridiculous. What's the return policy on this thing ....}:/
Btw, what is the max for "regular workhorse" Screw F150?
I just noticed the door label on my '12 SCrew:
"The combined weight of occupants and cargo should never exceed 880 lbs."
What??
With the seating capacity of 5, if I have 5 people my weight (200lb), that means I'm over the limit even with my truck bed empty?
What about 3 people, 3...
nosbusa, I sent you an email.

Holly crap! I would use the same sheetrock screws to screw the installer's hands to his ass, so he never touches another car.
Yea, I've been to KHC for one meet. Cool guys. I'll have my susp. upgrades done there. But they don't seem to advertise much in terms of car audio installation or products.
I'm looking for a reputable car audio installer. I spend decent $$$ on the new stereo equipment, I want a highly rated, reliable shop to do the install. I'm in Princeton, NJ area.
Thanks.
I see... crap, I should've checked here first! :banghead:
I'll return it and get it from Mike with the tunes I want.
I really hope this thing will teach my tranny a lesson (or six) :))
Thanks for the suggestions, guys. I'll have that checked out.
Before I do anything with the LiveWire tunes, I want to get a clear answer on this:
What is involved in restoring the stock/factory tunes in case I want to get the truck serviced? You know - the warranty BS.
I got the LiveWire at AutoAnything.com. It says it comes with pre-loaded tune files. I think 3(?) and holds up to 10 custom tunes.
I have not touched it yet, it's still in the box, I'm planning to have Dave at KHC help me with the whole set up.
I find it strange, that it doesn't come with any...
Ok, dealer called.
"No problems found, shifting normally" -- of course.
I did asked them about clearing the adaptives in the ECU (reflashing), but with only 1.4K on, they thought it's too soon. Yes? No?...
Btw; this was my first service at the dealer I bought it from. They were pretty...
Just took my '12 Screw in for service. Only 1.5K on it.
Here is what's happening:
If I accelerate from 6th or 5th, it jumps straight to 3rd, which just over-revs the engine like crazy. It doesn't have that nice down-shift followed by a strong pull. Just a lot of revving in a gear that's too...
