I must admit I am a little surprised by the scab comments. I wanted a low miles gen1 and I wanted it to be a scab. That combination caused me to drive over 6 hours to pick one up. Personally, I think the scab looks much better but I no longer deal with a baby seat. The shorter length makes...
Better road manners for the guy that has to drive back and forth to work every day? I traded a 2011 Tahoe for mine. There is no comparison. Going down the highway at 60 mph feels like you are doing 35 mph. When I am caught in traffic, my only concern is that someone will rear end me and mess...
I loved the blue seats but I didnt like the blue trim. My truck is silver and sometimes I wish I would have went ahead with the blue trim. If I did, I probably would have been like you and considered swaping out the blue plastic for silver.
But if you do, be sure to keep the blue plastic...
I absolutely recommend it. The poor raptor has wide axles so any crap coming off the front tires will spray the entire side of your truck. The stone chips are a great accent too. There is another post on the forum (in the exterior mods section) that talks about the different styles. I went...
Does anyone know how much a new set of 4 stock tires would cost after mounting and balancing?
I can get pricing for the tires via mail order but adding in freight, mounting, and balancing, the price will be higher.
Some dealers believe this is a special, hard to find truck and they price it accordingly. Others think it is a version of an F150. I suggest you find a dealer that thinks it is a version of an F150.
The frame bend is an issue for some. The gas mileage with the small gas tank is a negative...
Look at it like this Macf, the longer it wont start, the longer it stays off the crappy winter roads. I received my '13 the first of November. Winter hit Indiana with the salt and crap. Now I keep it in a heated garage next to my old '87 jeep comanche. I dont have the heart to drive it in...
I would like to point out the obvious with Birdman's photos. Even if wall thickness were the same, the differences in the stampings at the openings would improve frame strength. Curves always add strength. Anyone care to comment?

Regrettably, I live on a rough dirt road that contains a "washboard" effect. I noticed the headlight shake at the first moment I drove it on my road.
I dont notice it when I cross rough tracks which I also do at least 4 times per day or when I cross speed bumps at wal-mart. It may happen...
For all of you that had your wheel wells line-x'd, was the shop smart enough and capable enough to remove and replace your fender flairs first and did you get good coverage upon close inspection?
I just had mine done by a great local body shop but his sprayer wasnt able to get that close due...
I absolutely agree. I dont understand why the roll-x seems to be ignored as a valid alternative. I have one and I think it is awsome. Bought from Morrie. He is great to work with and has great prices.
Roll-x all the way.
I want to remind everyone too who really likes their trucks and plans to keep them for the long term, if Ford really is coming out with the next generation F150, 4 years of Raptor production qualifies as a limited production vehicle. That means the number of shared components there are (or...
I knew I would get crap. I just thought it would be from birdman. :laughing1:
Ok, let me rephrase the question. Please try to keep up. I was curious from a manufacturer's standpoint how much of the "Raptor stuff" was borrowed from other product lines. I am slightly anal about things like...
Now that I have this thing, I have been curious about the differences between the raptor and Ford's other trucks. I am not talking about the obvious visible things like the body panels or suspension components. But more the brakes/drivetrain.
Please pardon my ignorance. My last Ford was...
I was a long time Tahoe owner. For you long time Ford owners, tahoes are a type of chevy :). My wife and I both had z71 tahoes. Mine was a '02 and her's was an '03. We kept them for almost 10 years. Trading my '02 in on another tahoe was a no brainer until I started driving it. What a...
Blood doesnt exist. He is a legend. A myth. Like Bigfoot. Some claim to have seen him but they really didnt. Just go on with your life and pretend he is real like everyone else does. :laughing1:
I am too stupid to give you any feedback other than you ordered silver and are considering white. I ordered white and changed to silver so what do I know? :emotions122:
My only complaint with silver is that if I get into a fender bender, white is easy to paint and get to match the factory...
Since technically I dont own one yet, I didnt really know what it looked like in the rear wheel wells. Many trucks have nothing in the front of the well wells. The back side of the sheet metal is completely exposed to gravel from the tires. I stopped and looked at one on the lot and the...
My concern with Line-x is that it does a good job of protecting the underneath side of the wheel well at the bed. It doesnt do anything to the inside of the bed box (in front of and behind the rear wheel). A liner would have prevent crap from beating on the inside of the box.
Does anyone...
