Put a set of those on in 35" on my 2019 a few months ago, they've been amazing. Super nice ride, damn decent handling, quiet, and look really good for an AT.
If money is "no object," then yeah... it might be worth it. A lot of people downplay the live suspension, but for me it's an awesome feature.
Putting the truck in Sport makes it have so much less body-roll in the twisties, you almost... *almost*... feel like you're in a car and makes the...
Must agree. I loved my 2012, couldn't get over how awesome it looked. Until I saw pics of the Gen 2, and especially the grill and front end. Just made my Gen 1 look wimpy in the front.
For quite a while, I tried to convince myself that it was just an optical illusion... until I finally saw a...
OP flat-out said "some drunk guy" lol
I kept rooting for him to floor it and go to the right as I watched the video... but over and over the little car keeps hitting him.
Agreed. At least on the white trucks, I couldn't stand the painted. Some other colors I've thought it was fine, but on white the black mirror caps look much better.
Bought mine brand new and it was the same thing, dealer just drilled 2 holes and then mounted up the bracket.
I bought a cheap black license plate frame that came with those little rubber deals you put behind the screws and then a black cap pops on to cover the screwheads and just used those...
These are not Recon per se (or are they?), it's always hard to tell if they're not all from the same overseas plant.
But anyways, I got these in early 2020 and they've worked like a charm. Not ridiculously smoked to cause issues with Cali CHP, plenty bright at night, but definitely smoked...
Agreed. I found the OEM black mirror caps on Ebay for cheap, but the door handles are an entirely different animal and far more involved.
I'm going to go by a local wrap shop and talk to them about the door handles, I honestly don't know if that's something that can be easily done and still...
There are sooo many cool features on the 802a, I can't imagine not having most of them. (Yeah, there's a couple that are meh).
Speaking of the mirror skull caps, I actually find (at least on my white) that I preferred the black color so I switched to those. Gotta love Ebay.
Well, it's progressed to both of my mirrors and like 30% of the time they'll get stuck in a repeated clicking pattern. Only way to get it to stop is to select that mirror and move it with the buttons. Otherwise it'll just keep doing it.
Very strange.
I remember seeing people in the past talking about their side mirrors clicking and moving around on start up.
It happened to me a few times, but seems like lately it's happening more and more. Really annoying and seems like it can't be good for the mirror motors.
Anybody ever come up with...
Yeah, my 19 has done that too. A while back there was a long thread about it, and a few people said theirs did as well.
A lot of guesses as to what it was and why it was happening, but no actual answers as I recall. The consensus seemed to end up being just accept it and move on. lol
Haven't...
They use plastic fasteners, but I found it very awkward to try and use them and get everything lined up right.
Instead I just drilled some holes and used black zip ties. A couple on the "side" and 3 on the top. Super easy. Down the road if I have to remove one, just snip the zip ties and voila.
Digging the sunroof comments, appreciate the suggestion. Funny thing, I actually just got a thing of silicone paste from Amazon a couple days ago and plan on lubing up the sunroof seals. Definitely some noise from that area at times.
But also got a bit of an intermittent rattle somewhere in the...
